In a new review paper the Drinking Water Research Foundation has published a risk comparison using data from sources including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and presentations from a 2009 drinking water symposium at Yale University. FoodBev.com reports that FDA required tests on bottled water must by law equal or exceed EPA tests for public water sources. And, according to the research, the bottled water industry tests over and above the EPA public water requirements. We’ve said it before and we will say it again.
